Fantastic Leicester winning the league really pleased they broke the mould.
However I think its a bit over the top saying the best sporting achievement ever!!
Sky Sports Yes it is one of the best achievements in recent History but until they win the champions league in the next couple of years Cloughie Nottingham Forest team of the late seventies early 80s league winners and European winners is a greater achievement than Leicester at present. So Please all calm down

I find it quite annoying reading this over and over, Leicester and its fan should be going OTT with excitement and why should anyone calm down its remarkable. Its almost like some people need to put a dampener on it by saying about the forest team. Well I think its great and at this moment couldn't care less about forest.

Luke, you are spot on and if I was a Leicester City fan I would be pretty emotional right now
I remember what I was like when we beat QPR at the Millennium Stadium and for them to win the Premier League must be pretty surreal. I think it still won't have sunk in as to what an achievement this is for them
And (finally) they will get some bragging rights over their bitter rivals from Nottingham Forest, of whom one of their fans said: "Pleased for Leicester? We're still upset that they got promoted in the first place!"
Could never imagine that sort of stuff going on between us and The Jacks, could we?
Milk it for all you can, Leicester City FC...you deserve it!

Well done and enjoy Leicester

I think it's easy for Vince to say that.. But imagine Cardiff were in Leicester's place. Can hardly imagine he'd be singing the same tune

The Forest stuff is shit compared to this. Leicester tale is greatest sporting achievement ever and will not be replicated.

Whilst forest was a fantastic achievement, I think Leicester is more impressive as they not only won the league they did it by beating the big boys with all the money in the game now I think it makes it even harder to break into the top 4 let alone winning it

If we did it, at least it would be on the back of years of turmoil and fighting off administration at times without succumbing.
Let's remember Leicester did it off the back of going into administration, wiping out debt, not paying local businesses and JUST staying out of administration long enough to get a new stadium.
No points deduction either but their actions are what made the FA bring in the points deduction rule.
Well done Leicester but it's amazing what is forgotten just so the media can sustain a lovely rags to riches story.

Strewth, does that mean Swansea are now favourites for next seasons Premier League title????
Their CV would dictate that!!!!

Of course, Forest winning the Division 1 title and European Cup twice is a greater achievement compared to Leicester winning the Premier League on paper but given how the football landscape is so different to what it was in the 1970s and 1980s then I think Leicester's title win is far superior to Forest's title win.
You're right though, some people, particularly those that experience Forest's title win, seem keen to piss on Leicester's chips just to boast "what I saw that you didn't was greater!". This Leicester one is one to celebrate and should not be turned into a competition about how great it is compared to other sporting achievements.
