Tactical knowledge.

Bellamy is a student of the game and has been ever since he first saw a football kicked in anger. He has been keen to learn ever since the start, keeping abreast of the latest training methods and analysing tactics and formations.

It was little wonder he set about getting his coaching badges as soon as possible. Anyone who has ever seen Bellamy acting as a pundit on TV will be left in little doubt as to his reading of the game and just his sheer enthusiasm for all facets of football.

Ignite the fan-base.

The Bluebirds hierarchy have been wracking their brains for months to find a way to boost flagging crowds at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Record-low attendances for the Bluebirds’ new home have been arrested somewhat by schemes and fist fulls of free tickets, but there is one very simple way to ensure that, come the start of the next campaign, the Bluebirds’ home is packed to the rafters, simply get rid of Russell Slade and bring in Bellamy as boss.

Then sit back and watch the sparks fly.

Bluebirds passion

Bellamy is a Bluebird. OK, there was also a fondness for Liverpool in his youth, but plenty of South Wales’ youngsters had a second club back in those days.

Bellamy was a regular down on the Bob Bank as a kid, being indoctrinated in the intoxicating allure of old Ninian Park. He always swore he would play for the Bluebirds one day and he did, twice, on the second occasion helping the Bluebirds finally make it back to the top-flight.

A proud Welshman too, as his sparkling international career attests too. Cardiff City loves Craig Bellamy and Craig Bellamy loves Cardiff City.

Exciting football anyone?

Russell Slade has many virtues, or a few anyway, but the brand of football he has been peddling since he arrived at Cardiff has really thrilled no one. Dull, staid and pedestrian, are just some of the nicest things said about it. Bellamy will bring blitzkrieg football. As a player he was attack-minded, tenacious and forward thinking, the attributes fans want to see from the Bluebirds on the pitch. Will it succeed? Who knows? Will it thrill? For certain.

Young, gifted and back.

It seems to most that Cardiff City needs a bit of excitement injected back into it. A bit of life? Bellamy has that in spades. Just 36 years old, he will bring a youthful zest that, let’s just say, has been lacking during Slade’s tenure. Bellamy will be hungry for success too, he’s always been a winner on the pitch and he will bring that with him to his managerial role. Bellamy will be busting a gut to make an impact at Cardiff, he will want his start in management to go with a bang not a whimper.

Big name magnet.

You can imagine the scene: Top player’s agent, ‘They want you at Cardiff City.’ Top player, ‘Who is manager there?’ Top player’s agent, ‘Russell Slade.’ Top player, ‘Who?’ Harsh, I’m sure, but no such problems with Bellamy at the helm. With incredible contacts throughout the game, including a few he hasn’t totally alienated as well, Bellamy could bring in the big names Cardiff need and the fans crave.

Learned from the best.

If you needed schooling in the dark arts of being a successful football manager then Bellamy has learned from some of the game’s finest. A top-notch playing career has meant Bellamy has been under the wing of a litany of top, top managerial talent. The legendry Bobby Robson at Newcastle, wily old Harry Redknapp, Rafael Benitez, Gordon Strachan, Mark Hughes, John Toshack and the late-great Gary Speed have all managed him and Bellamy is not the type to have emerged from his encounters with such men without picking up plenty of guidance for his own assault on the managerial game.

And he'd make sure that every player gives 100% in every game.

Some of them won't like it but some of them need a good kick up the arse and he would be just the man to do it.

A well written report.
Personally, I would love to see Bellamy given a chance. A gamble, yes, but would be so much more to look forward too than shite that the negative Slade dishes up week after week.
Unfortunately, I don't think it will happen.

This has to be the nagging doubt about appointing Bellamy. His minimum for next season would be 7th place, anything lower than that and he will get crucified.

Good point but that Move to Valencia was destined to fail, he had never played in La Liga it was mid season and couldn't set any foundations.

Bellamy has played for a long period in the English leagues, played in the championship, played for us in the championship and would take over having brought in his own players and stamped his authority over pre-season. I have no doubt he would bring in a very experienced coach as well. He seems a bit of a perfectionist, I think he would look to sort everything from the bottom to the top. Would it work, well we don't know but that would be said for any manager.

If Warnock is available, I'd sooner see Bellers as his assistant to start with. Look what happened down the road with Monkey. Hero to zero and out. Better for him to work with a tried and trusted war horse first. Just my opinion but I wouldn't want to see Bellamy leave the club under a cloud after all he has done in the past.
