There'll be less than 15,000 there, even if they were offering a free pint each!

Clutching at straws stuff by City, nothing to play for so why will people want to bother watching a team with no heart nor soul, motivated by a clueless baldy.

Maybe if these overpaid c**ts put in a shift at Hillsborough to attempt to win the biggest game of their season then I may have ventured but f**k that shit, they didn’t turn up, most were already on the beaches in Marbella.

Initially, I thought that too, but then I thought of the non-importance of the game and every seat filled (I nearly said with a bum on it, but enough about the Brum fans! :laughing6: ) will be a bonus and potential additional income for the outlets

An 'open-gate' policy may save a lot of wasted paper! ;) :laughing6:

Im all for them giving them to kids mate, give them out to schools for free to your hearts content but I think its taking the piss a bit now out of those fans who have paid. Once or twice bring a friend for 10 quid fair enough but this season has been rudiculous

Not silly common sense and a great gesture once again by the club, some people never happy! :bluescarf:

Being saying it for years.people got the money if there's decent football to watch.the gutless rubbish we serve up will attract few takers even on a freebie.

Of course people are not happy, its a gesture giving people who do not support the club a freebie via a club supporting fully paid up fan.

To pass that off as some sort of 'Thank You' is quite frankly an insult when there is absolutly nothing in it for the season ticket holder.

Having given away free tickets for the previous three games, the club might as well do the same for Saturday. Hopefully some of these fans will return next season. However, at some point, they are going to have to pay to get in.

Ian, I am all for giving Free tickets to School children that's how I started, but this season City have now made about 9 games either Free or £10 or £5 a game, I can honestly see sales not improving for season tickets next season.
It really does look like we are a desperate club for support.

Sales for next season are barely 10,000 and amongst them is about 3,500 £50 season tickets.

We have the whole Summer to sell them going to be interesting.

How do you work that out? Joe public gets to go to the game for free whilst the season ticket holder has already paid. Joe Public benefits, season ticket holder doesnt.

I dont mind them doing the odd offer but this is just short sighted and mugging off paying customers.

This is the 4th free game in a row plus I am sure there were a few bring a mate for a tenner and other offers throughout the season

I am all for the club giving free tickets to children via schools etc but adults can pay just like the rest of us have.

There are people out there that have done 8-10 home games this season at the cost of about 40 quid through all these deals.

Just my opinion, I dont expect people to agree, such is life

I agree with you mate I had a rant about this few games ago that it's getting to the point it's cheaper to know a season ticket holder than actually being a season ticket holder

Can I use my tickets to bring my King Charles Spanial, what's the chance of playing for nothing

That's a really silly statement ONLY season ticket holders can acquire free tickets not a member of the general public so the gift is to current season ticket holders of every holder decided not to take the club up on the free tickets then there would be no one in the stadium that hadn't paid!!

If you are a season ticket holder then you are not losing anything by taking them up at all but perhaps giving a relative of friend the chance to experience a day out that they may enjoy and perhaps want to join you again next year and pay for their tickets then this helping the club but giving your reaction to the two free tickets I doubt anyone would want to go with you for the day Anyway

The only silly thing here is you fella, as you are saying my statement is silly based on something I havn't even said.

You say, and I quote, 'ONLY season ticket holders can acquire free tickets not a member of the general public'.

Please show me in my post where I said Joe Public could acquire the tickets, actually don't bother as I never said it.

However what I have said is a statement of fact, the season ticket holder who has Paid gets nothing, the person the tickets (Joe Public) get passed onto get to go the game for free (Benefit).

That is great and I don't mind it now and again to attract new fans, myself and the 3 season ticket holders I go with have passed our tickets on for every game so no worries on that score but thanks for your concern but this season its become a bit of a joke,

You just contradicted yourself a member of the public might be benefitting from a free ticket but that given to them by yourself who is the one who got the free tickets in the first place

I do however appreciate that four games for free would make you feel like you are losing out as a paying season ticket holder but would you not be attending anyway? You may have saved a few quid in the long run but the fact you've given them away to others to try and get the Cardiff city bug is far better IMO than not taking the tickets up

We all want more people at games and hopefully this helps it's certainly got my young cousin interested and he actually bought a Bolton ticket when he could have had a free one and he wants to go to brum now hopefully more lads like him feel the same next season :thumbright:
