That is superb support for a club like Accrington.

There's a number of reasons for poor support. Cost is one. For me and my boys Saturday would have cost close to £100 not including travel.
The Slade factor has put lots of fans off. This year I've done away games at Fulham, MK Dons, Brighton, Reading, Derby and Charlton plus 4 or 5 homes. I must have spent over £1000 doing so. In al the games I've seen the only one worth the money was Derby at home. The football served up has been poor and whilst Slade deserves credit for reducing costs and making us competitive we aren't pretty to watch.
The fixture list hasn't been overly kind. Middlesbrough and Leeds away on a Tuesday night is a joke and it's happened 2 years on the trot. Brentford was on a Tuesday this year. Last year we sold out this year it was 580.
