Crowds Next Season

Sun May 01, 2016 7:15 pm

What sort of average attendances do you think we will see next season?
How many season tickets will be sold?

With slade in charge again i predict more poor football and mid table mediocrity and inconsistent results. We saw what happened last season very poor crowds apart from when the club offered out free tickets.

More of the same poor crowds next season surely with slade and his boring predictable one dimensional inconsistent average football driving people and fans away?

Will this be a factor for the club in giving slade a new contract or not do you think?

You know this mate do you? The club worried about next seasons attendances?

Crowds = revenue at the end of the day.

The only way now to bring the fans in would be to change the manager

Going to be better than this season we've sold more season tickets

They shouldn't be overly worried Annis.

We've had a decent number of season ticket renewals, as has been said on here. A few more will come through as well - I still need to buy mine when funds allow.

But I wouldn't be worried, and I don't really think changing the manager is going to make too much difference at this point. It can make a big difference in certain situations but I don't think this is one of them. Then again, some of our fans will blame anything on Slade.

Predict this board will be arguing the actual attendance in relation to ST sold with thousands so called fans missing again!

I'd be shocked if crowds were as bad as this season, especially as we've sold more season tickets. Personally support Slade and feel he's proved me wrong as I doubted him for a long time.

Will admit, though, that it seems I'm in the minority.

It looked like we had good initial sales for the two year price freeze, combined with a short lived "feel good factor" at that time. However, since then, reality has shone through, & unless something drastic was to change, then I fear that no better than this season,,,perhaps even worse!

I think we'll get what we've always got when playing in this division. Will vary from 12k to 16k depending on who we are playing. If we are in or around the top two well into the season, will probably add another 6k to 8k onto those figures.

Should be at least 12k :bluebird:

The average crowd will be at least 2 cos me and the boy got our season tickets, don't worry about who's manager or who's in goal or who's up front.
I'll be there :bluescarf:

With Slade in charge and the same failed tactics a few thousand lower than this year.

Just a reminder. Three years ago, Malky's first season in charge after inheriting a first team squad of nine: we finished SEVENTH and we averaged 23,000 PAYING fans.

How have the mighty fallen.

Was only yesterday I was telling the Mrs we used to have a full house every week and that was before even Malky come along let alone The Premiership, the feel good factor and the feeling of being proud of your club has evaporated tho the last few yrs, only Mr Tan and his henchmen can be blamed for that, bad decision after bad decision

If the top 6 is off the agenda next season I would target Cup Competitions and hope we get lucky like we did in 2008 and 2012.

Otherwise I agree with the post above that it will probably bounce between 12 & 18k.

With season tickets being cheaper next season than this I think a lot of season ticket holders just won't bother turning up next season if the football remains the same.

This year has seen many many games where season ticket holders have stayed away in their droves even though they've been more expensive this season than they will be next.

The only way to get fans to attend regularly in numbers unfortunately is to be successful on the pitch. Even with the free ticket give away the crowds feel from the Derby game to the QPR game and then further for the Bolton game.

It must be a real worry for the club. They need something to spark the interest of the fans and to get them on board for next season and I'm afraid that giving Slade a new contract would not help in doing that.

Have we? How many more?

I thought it was around the 10k mark again. I think attendances will be about the same unless we are pushing properly for the play offs with a manager who believe actually believe in.
