http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/3-card ... -season/2/Sammy Ameobi23-year-old Sammy Ameobi has failed to use his time on loan at Cardiff to impress his new boss Rafa Benitez.
As the season comes to an end, he has only scored once and bagged three assists in 35 appearances.
Understandably 27 of these were from the bench, but this only shows that Ameobi has failed to make it into the first team at Cardiff.
The last time he played 90 minutes was against Charlton where he was sent off and he has really failed to make a big impact for a club that are chasing the play-offs.
It is starting to look like Ameobi is failing to live up to his potential, he is now 23 and has thus far failed to make the grade in the Championship. It will be interesting to see where Ameobi ends up next.
Joe MasonAlthough not at Cardiff anymore, in 21 starting appearances for the Welsh side this season, Joe Mason has only scored 6 goals.
The highly rated striker has unfortunately failed to get into scoring form anywhere he has been and after joining Wolves in the January window, it just seems like he has disappointed Cardiff fans.
Some strikers don’t live off of goals and spend time being a nuisance for the opposition defence and helping the players around them get into good areas, but for many of his 21 games for Cardiff this season he failed to lead the line well.
His five year stay at the Welsh side failed to blossom into anything huge and it was disappointing to see Mason leave after failing to live up to his potential.
Tom LawrenceLawrence, much like Mason, is a forward who just can’t get into any sort of form at the moment.
The former Manchester United man is on loan at Cardiff from title-chasing Leicester City, and having been at Blackburn up until Christmas he joined Cardiff in a bid to improve their play-off challenge.
The Wrexham born man has failed to score a goal for Cardiff in 13 appearances and only scored two in 14 starting appearances for Blackburn.
It has been a season to forget for the 22 year-old but luckily for him there is plenty of time ahead to improve.
Cardiff fans, do you agree that these three have underperformed this season?
