' SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY ARE PLAYING POORLY '

By Paul Abbandonato

A few weeks back Carlos Carvalhal’s side looked absolute shoo-ins for the play-offs. They won four on the trot against Nottingham Forest, Charlton, Huddersfield and Blackburn, scoring nine goals and only conceding one in the process.

However, like Cardiff they have had a sudden dip in results heading into the Hillsborough crunch.

Did complacency creep in, because Wednesday were thrashed 4-1 at lowly Bristol City, only drew at home to relegated MK Dons and Ipswich, then conceded an equalising goal at Derby that kept the Bluebirds in the hunt.

Cardiff are hardly setting the world on fire themselves under Slade, but at least they are meeting opposition who have lost their way a little too.

Wouldn't agree with that at all. We've been playing really well since Bristol. We just haven't got the points on the board.
