Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall will need to be at his very best

His old Bluebirds deputy Tom Heaton may have been named keeper in the PFA team of the year, but there’s only one David Marshall.
Cardiff’s captain and shot-stopper is the finest number one outside of the Premier League, whatever his peers may say about Burnley’s Heaton.
Without Marshall’s utter brilliance at various points of the season, Slade’s Cardiff would be only in mid-table at best. He has been the difference between them winning and losing matches.
Including last weekend, when two blinding second-half Marshall stops prevented Slade’s men from succumbing to one of their most embarrassing defeats against 10-man, rock bottom Bolton. Without Marshall’s defiance, there would have been no last-gasp Peter Whittingham penalty winner.
If Marshall has one of those days, so to speak, he can deny Sheffield Wednesday almost single-handedly and give someone else the opportunity to snatch a Bluebirds winner.
