Have Cardiff City listened to Vincent Tan's infamous shooting advice? And has it paid off?

Slade passed on his advice in February, but how has it served the Bluebirds in their quest to reach the play-offs?
Earlier this season Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan had a very simple message as they looked to kick-start their play-off charge: shoot more.
The Malaysian millionaire visited the Welsh capital in February and passed on some words of advice as the Bluebirds found themselves sitting ninth in the table.
Tan said: "In every match I want to see 30 or 40 attempts on goal, at least. Just shoot from 25, 30 yards, I told them.
"The law of averages says the more you shoot, the more you'll score. If you shoot 30 times you'll get three goals, 40 times will be four goals, 50 times and you'll get five goals.
"Have you seen ugly men walking around with a very beautiful wife? Well that's because they've asked 30, 40, 50 times before getting a yes.
"On the other hand, you'll see a handsome man ask once, get a 'no' in response and that's it.
"So the more you try, the more success you'll have."
So have Russell Slade's men taken Tan's advice on board? It seems they have...
Cardiff City's average shots per game
12.2
Before Tan's visit
15.3
After Tan's visit
But the Bluebirds are actually averaging slightly less points per game (1.5) since Tan's advice, compared to the 1.53 they were getting before.
Before Tan's visit to South Wales, the Bluebirds were averaging 12.2 shots per game, but since then they've let fly 15.3 times per game meaning they've averaged just over three shots more per game.
However, despite having more shots at goal since the owner's visit, Cardiff are actually scoring less goals, averaging one goal per game in the last 14 matches.
In a slightly bemusing twist, the Bluebirds are actually averaging slightly less points per game (1.5) since Tan's advice, compared to the 1.53 they were getting before.
That said, they have climbed to seventh in the league, which, essentially, is the only statistic that matters.
So when you pose the question 'has Vincent Tan's advice paid off?' given the Bluebirds' rise up the table, the answer has to be yes, doesn't it?
