Wasn't interested in being a squad player though, I don't think? And he would never have got into the starting line-up, if we're honest. Rightly or wrongly, the feeling seemed to be that he had slowed down as a player and that he couldn't go like he used to.

I'm not sure about that. He was sold and we spent a pile of money on Morrison, are you really convinced that Hudson didn't offer more than Morrison? Manga and Hudson would have been a great pairing.
Hudson is a better passer, better leader, equal to him in the air and both lack pace. I'd take Hudson over Morrison every time but particularly at the start of last season when we had lost some big players after relegation
