A forum for all things Cardiff City

Kenny Jackett has told the Express and Star that he still hasn’t made a decision about Adam Le Fondre’s future at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wednesday 27th April 2016
Le Fondre is on loan at Wolves from Cardiff City, and he may well have played his last match for the Midlands side.
The experienced striker is currently out injured, and he is not expected to make it back in time for Wolves’ match against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
Wolves then play Sheffield Wednesday on the final day of the season, and it remains to be seen whether Le Fondre will play a part.
Jackett now says that he has a decision to ponder, as he considers whether or not to make the 29-year-old’s move a permanent one.
“We’ll look at it in the summer,” Jackett said, when asked about Le Fondre’s future.
“We have to see where we are and find a balanced front line, with a compliment, and we need choices, we need options along our front line.”
Le Fondre has arguably not had the impact many were hoping at Molineux this season.
The Cardiff loanee has never really established his place in Jackett’s team, and he has not scored prolifically.
Le Fondre has made 25 appearances for Wolves in total, but only 10 of these displays have been as a starter - and he has only found the back of the net on three occasions.

What has happened to him?

Le Fondre on loan, and £3m for Mason. And wolves continue to under-achieve. Makes you wonder how Kenny Jackett keeps his job in this day and age.

That literally just made me laugh out loud.
People talk about him like he was a 20+ striker before he came here but he only ever hit those numbers in league 2.
His highest goal tally in the top 2 tiers was 15 and that was three seasons ago.
Massively overrated IMHO.

Well said. Hard working player and made a big rep from scoring plenty of goals off the bench for reading but another overpriced and overrated player signed by the clueless OGS
