BRENDAN RODGERS TO CELTIC?

27/04/16

Former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers is being considered by Celtic to replace Ronny Deila at the end of the season.

According to the South Wales Evening Post, Rodgers is in contention to take his old job at the Liberty Stadium this summer but the Welsh club could be pipped by Celtic if they move first.

Deila has announced he will leave Celtic Park when the season ends, and the likes of David Moyes, Neil Lennon and Steve Clarke have been linked with the post.

A strong Irish connection at Celtic and Rodgers would certainly fit the bill

Lennon was there before and apparently wants back in, although I'm sure Celtic won't be seriously considering him after he left only to discover the grass wasn't actually greener (for him at least) on the other side of Hadrian's Wall

He's better than the SPL, but Celtic is a big name to put on your CV and it will give him access to Champions League, so might be a good move for him for 3 years or so. I fully expect him to become England manager at some point after that, if I'm honest.

Not sure why he'd even consider going back to Swansea. Their manager turnover since they got promoted is ridiculous.
