Cardiff City boss Russell Slade looks set to pin his hopes on rookie striker Kenneth Zorhore for Saturday's do or die encounter with Sheffield Wednesday - despite admitting the young Dane is still very much a work in progress.
It is looking increasingly likely the 21-year-old will once more be asked to lead the Bluebirds’ front-line in the massive clash at Hillsborough this weekend.
Slade’s men travel to South Yorkshire knowing they must beat their rivals to keep alive their hopes of pipping the Owls to sixth-place.
It’s going to be a massive occasion for all involved, with a near-capacity 40,000 crowd expected at the famous old venue.
And it will be a real baptism of fire for Zohore who, prior to arriving in the Welsh capital, plied his trade in his home nation’s Super League with Odense BK, a club with average attendances of less than 7,000.
Slade has so far been keen to protect the youngster but handed him his first start against Bolton after a goal-scoring appearance off the bench against Brentford in midweek.
Zohore, in for the injured Lex Immers, responded with his second goal in two games and now looks set to keep his spot.
The Bluebirds having struggled for strikers and goals all season and Slade will have no qualms about throwing Zohore into the red hot atmosphere of Hillsborough, even if he does expect it to be a steep learning curve.

“He’s a work in progress. He’s 21 and he’s still learning,” said Slade.
“He’s a real honest boy though, he knows the intensity of training and the intensity of Championship football is a far cry from the football he has been playing in Denmark. He’s getting used to it, in training too, and the Bolton game will have been a bit of a leaning curve for him. The physicality of it, the amount of work that is required in the Championship.
“He will get better. He’s got scope to get better, we know he can finish, we have seen that in training. He's got himself a second goal now and we are really pleased about that. But there’s an awful lot more that he can do and that he can bring to the table. I’ve no doubt about that. That was not all on show against Bolton, it’s going to take time.”
