That's the type of player Whitts is tho. That's why a lot on here don't appreciate him as he doesn't go chasing lost balls or trying to run past 4 players. He keeps a cool head picks the passes and runs etc. He is a legend no doubt for Cardiff .

He also keeps possession when there's nothing on by making simple ten metre passes to get the return.
He often gets abuse for that on here by people that don't know their football.

He also keeps possession when there's nothing on by making simple ten metre passes to get the return.
He often gets abuse for that on here by people that don't know their football.

He was excellent, and appeared everywhere. Was the most he was left the left wing position since he was moved back out there and opened up loads of space for Malone

Spread the ball out wide brilliant when he was out in the middle. He's not a winger, he's a midfielder and should be played there from the start.

Its not his fault that we have had two managers with no idea what to do with him.

Malky saw his ticket was riding Whitts passing,possession and controlling skills and set a game plan to exploit it. If Whitts was a better physical specimen he would be a top half of the premier league and we would only having the pleasure of watching him on the TV.

What Malky did that the two other didn't was hide his weaknesses. He put legs all around him. We could do that in a three man midfield with Ralls and O'Keefe with the full backs supporting their wide forwards. But Malky didn't really go for forwards and it worked. Players like Don Cowie allowed Whitts to do his thing....

Not a Malky fan but you can't argue with the facts.

Didn't know about that interview, although a midfield of Conway, Gunnar,Whitts and Cowie was quite narrow
