Spot on.
He also keeps possession when there's nothing on by making simple ten metre passes to get the return.
He often gets abuse for that on here by people that don't know their football.

What Malky did that the two other didn't was hide his weaknesses. He put legs all around him. We could do that in a three man midfield with Ralls and O'Keefe with the full backs supporting their wide forwards. But Malky didn't really go for forwards and it worked. Players like Don Cowie allowed Whitts to do his thing....
Not a Malky fan but you can't argue with the facts.
