They probably should keep Slade

If that is the case, then they probably should keep Russell Slade in charge because he is the best Russell Slade out there.
If they were planning to be more dynamic, you imagine that they would pursue a more dynamic figurehead to lead the charge.
Slade is a secure enough pair of hands, but Cardiff will need a bit more than that to get out of this division.

Recently relegated Aston Villa are a broken club and believed to be targeting Nigel Pearson with Chris Powell as his assistant in an attempt to reverse their fortunes.
Pearson has a promotion to the Premier League on his CV and Powell is widely recognised as one of the nicest guys in football. This particular good cop/bad cop union has the potential to reinvigorate and propel the club upwards.
Any club in fact, including Cardiff.
