No you look at money being splashed about in championship these days and cardiff are doing well to be seventh if you look at what the teams above have spent to be where they are and what cardiff have spent massive difference. Cost cutting will never bring promotion and it's a few years in championship for us imo.

I agree to a certain extent but spending large sums of money does not guarantee promotion either. Look at Derby who have been one of the biggest spenders over the last few seasons. They've been close each time but not got over the line.

Expensive players can get injured and suffer a loss of form like any player so I don't think that what a team spends is an indication of how successful they will be.

It certainly helps though, 9 million for Jordan Rhodes by Middlesborough how much was it for Andre grey for burnley mega bucks compared to cardiffs bill this season and it's paying off for the clubs mentioned I think we are lucky to be seventh. Just my opinion like.

I would agree with that. With the lack of a strike force of any note I would rate us at no higher than the 7th best in the division.
