Slade's future

Thu Apr 21, 2016 4:22 pm

I think that today's breaking news about the possible departure of Manga and Fabio due to their high wages shows that Slade isn't going anywhere.

The ambitious yet irresponsible splashing of cash is over, it's low budgets and cost cutting whilst keeping the club in a stable championship slot that is Slade's orders, and he has done a decent job of that.

Perhaps when the Premier League hangover is completely over, and the club has curbed all the high wages, the board may make some moderate investments to have another go, but I forsee a good couple of seasons of stabilisation under Slade coming up.

For the long term welfare of the club I'd welcome it and not spend and end up in financial turmoil.

Wez, Your right I said the same thing last year and was proved right, up to 16 players went out on loan this season, many also left and just look at Macheda and Le Fondre, No one could afford their wages, so we had to loan them out, true or not Wez?

We currently have 12 players now out on loan.

You watch this Summer, how many leave.

It's not rocket science, of course a lot of players will be off loaded, however, is it 100%that Fabio and manga will leave as stated in the start of this thread?
I would expect a lot of clubs to come in for Manga , even if we had been promoted , as for Fabio, love his energy, but if he is on such high wages would make sense to let him go.
