I say give him his rights....put him in with the general population for an hour whilst all the guards go for a convenient break. Can't be fairer than that!

human rights and the EU are two different things. the very fact norway aren't in the EU yet are subject to the convention should have told you that.

the point about human rights is that they apply to everyone. they cease to be human rights if you pick and choose who they apply to. clearly this is a deranged, disturbed man, who needs to be locked up for the rest of his life, but all this ruling means is that they are prevented from torturing him.

Under Norway law the maximum sentence he can be given is 21 years. The nut job will be walking free in about 19 years. Now I know Norway ain't in the EU but it's other countries trying/wanting to make up our laws. And people who aren't electable and you can't get rid of either. I am happy we live in a relative democratic country but even now the main parties are behaving like tyrants and believe we should just bow to them and do as they say because they know best.
In fact they are all liars and cheats and hypocrites the bloody lot of them, and to be honest I ain't a flag waver but I am glad we have the royal family.
