I think a lot depends on your expectations. If you want someone to steady the ship and keep us playing Championship football Slade is probably your man. If you want someone to seriously threaten the automatic promotion places, he is not going to be anywhere near your first choice. I was'nt expecting much so he has done better than I thought he would. A lot will depend on the ambitions of Tan as to where we go from here.

I've backed Slade for a new contract for a couple of months and not going to change that now.

I back Slade but there are some valid complaints which need addressing. Also the pathetic performancez during the business end of the season has been embarrassing

No change from me I've been in the camp from day one (although I gave him a chance when he first came , not to right him off straight away ) and I still want him out he's useless

I think a lot depends on your expectations. If you want someone to steady the ship and keep us playing Championship football Slade is probably your man.

That's exactly what he's been here to do though we was told this from the day he come in he was here to steady the ship and balance the books by cost cutting that's as much as we can expect as fans yet people still expect more.

If slade won everything and a bigger club come in people would be moaning h's gone then. So its a no win situation to please fans these days.

I hope he or they announces his departure or new role at the club before the Brum game. It would be nice to clap him off as the gentleman he is at the end of the game with the players. I wouldn't want it to turn sour.

Totally agree he has been very consistently hopeless other than a small run of games.

Did anyone really think he was before a ball was kicked this season knowing what his budget was along with massive cost cutting, I don't know anyone who thought he would get us promoted back then but lets hound him because he wont get us promoted, you couldn't make the slade hate threads up on here , we have done better than everyone I know predicted before the season started so how is that a bad thing

He's not good enough to get us promoted - now or ever.

Do you think he is? If so, fine. That's your opinion but I'm not sure what you're basing that on. He's never managed a club to promotion - in this league or any other league.

He'll be operating next season under similar financial restraints to this season it would appear. So why will he be able to get us promoted next season when he hasn't this (unless a miracle happens of course).

There were a few on this forum who thought we would be promoted before the season started, and a few of them still thought the same a few months into the season. I guess they also believe in elves, fairies and dragons, and thought Slade could get his hands on some pixie dust. The same posters will no doubt be predicting us for automatic promotion next season, even if we lose our best players. This club will never be promoted under Slade.
