Where is this 20 goal a season striker we need going to come from and can the club afford one? Are we going to get one for next season? :?:

If we want Premiership football, and the millions that come with it, we must get a proven 20 goal a season striker. And someone who has done it regularly in the Championship - not a lower division gamble.

A lower division gamble can be our 2nd striker but we must have the proven striker.

It may cost £10m but, if VT, is prepared to write off money then surely it makes sense to invest in such a player and seek to get the £100-150m return Premiership football will provide

Two strikers that we need next season should we still b in this league are David Nugent or Darryl Murphy, Id take either one. We do have Saadi mind and he is class, probably the best cf we have atm.

Burnley paid 9 million a proven championship striker in Gray and he is doing the job for them is he good enough to play in the premiership no one knows only time will tell.

We need a proven striker and pay the money its simple as that as there is one thing we can all agree is that we have not scored enough goals our biggest problem

So you haven't heard of Financial Fair Play? For the next 5 years VT will be righting off £8mpa the maximum amount allowed under FFP. Put simply this £10m doesn't exist unless we sell Marshall, Magna and at least a couple of others.

We are in the same position as other clubs. If they are allowed to sign £9m strikers then so should we be.

That aside we have a large number of players out on loan. If we sell those (saving salary in the process) we won't have to worry about FFP rules - and we should be able to do that without losing some of our present stars (for lack of a better phrase)
