since he thought we could make the playoffs, he put the team into negative mode, and stopped them playing football..this was the time to go for it, not to be tight in the hope of pinching a match..sad end to a promising few weeks.. even sheff wed tried to help us..shocking

They did try to help us, but we were never good enough to take advantage. I fancy Wednesday to get to the final now, they haven't played well of late and that might not be a bad thing going into the play-offs.

The team went from very good form to playing very conservative football lacking courage to take it to the opposition. Maybe he could of played it down to the media and the team.

Or It may be that this group of players are mentally weak and not able to perform that well when an achievement is in reach.

considering he is having to cut the budget and try and progress from the mess he inherited, overall he's done a good job. as for the past few weeks, i think the squad just hasn't been good enough to get the results when push came to shove.

fans like a simple solution and so will invariably blame the manager. plus he's a tan appointment so many have wanted him to fail from day one. he's got his head down and done a very good job here in the circumstances without complaining like many other managers would. if thats not good enough for some then so be it.

Slade has reverted to the brand of football he was hated for last season. He has never coped with the possibility of success, and that's why he has won fook all in well over 700 games as a failed manager.
