Wednesday Fan here.

Hey guys,

Obviously it's been this way for a few weeks but it looks like it could go down to the wire for that last play-off spot. As much as 5 points can look a big gap, believe me when I say loads of us are pretty nervous about it.

Just thought I'd strike a bit of decent conversation up between us. How confident are you tonight away at Brentford? Not the easiest of fixtures but definitely winnable. MK Dons don't even know if they have a keeper yet for tonight, 1st choice injured, 2nd choice suspended and the young academy keeper hasn't been fit... they might have to put Revell in net again! (Obviously you know the lad well). Bit of a farce really which means we're all predicting a win and in typical Wednesday fashion it wouldn't surprise me if we then didn't win.

With the greatest of respect I hope the game between us isn't one that matters and that we've already secured 6th place but considering we have to go away to Derby next week I'm pretty sure It'll matter. If it does then it promises to be a belter and I'll be back to discuss it!

Always respected Cardiff, had good banter with your fans and I think they've always appreciated our fans. Good luck in this run in, it's going to be interesting.

Welcome Carlos,We have a Carlos on here,my mate  :ayatollah:

As to you being nervous, most of us believe its totally in your hands and any more slip ups by us and its totally over.
Would be great if it could go down to being decided at your place, I would be happy :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Your a massive club, but that won't matter,it will be all doing to you holding your bottle and can take the pressure.

True it is in our hands and I hope we can take that pressure! Ultimately I see us both playing each other next season anyway but it wouldn't take away a fantastic season of great football and monumental progression on and off the pitch.

Definitely, even if we win tonight there's a lot to play for.

Interesting to see the other point of view

You obviously still believe we can catch you as most of our fans believe it's over , if we were in your position I bet we would be thinking the same

I do believe we have to beat brentford and Bolton and you have to draw at least 1 of the next 2 mk dons and derby we will be within 3 points of you going in to our game thats the only way we still have a chance , of course then we have the task of having to win at yours even then we have to better your result on the final day due to goal difference

It would take a miracle but anything could happen ultimately we have to win 4 on the bounce

The thing is we have been in their position before, & we have fecked up,,,anything can happen in football.

SW have some really good players though, hows Glenn Loovens been this season?

I'd bite your hand off if it has to go to the last day at the moment. :ayatollah:

If we Match Wednesday's result tonight then hope derby beat them and we beat Bolton
That would take us 2 points from Wednesday going in to that game hmm ...

I like Loovens, great defender with experience and a calming influence at the back. I think the partnership is a success due to the talent of Tom Lees who will definitely play in the Prem (with someone!) I'm sure. Gets a few injuries now though and can be a bit slow on his feet but still a good player at this level. Got to thank Dave Jones for bringing him in along with a few other superstars like Kieran Lee etc.

Assuming that if you did slip we'd have to be at our best to catch up but that's been our main problem this season. We're not the best of taking our opportunities to catch up and it would be the best run of our season if we were to win our last 4 games. And yet I still have faith!

Hope for a good game at Hillsborough also.

I've always quite liked sheff weds and if we don't make it, which if we don't win tonight is very likely, then I'd like them to win the playoffs. Be great if there is something on the game between us, but being cardiff city I very very much doubt it. A right carrot dangle with us playing Bolton and weds away to derby but hey ho :bluescarf:

As things stand we need to win all of our games and then hope someone (mainly Derby) can beat you.

I don't think we will win the 4 games, which means we need help from someone else as well.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm just happy we still have something to play for.

Can't disagree with that, better than last season where I was wishing it to end.

We now need to win our 3 and hope Wednesday pick up 1 point maximum. Tough ask.

Derby vs Sheffield Wednesday is early kick off, and if they lose that then the atmosphere should be excellent at home to Bolton which we SHOULD be winning comfortably.

Still all to play for. Yesterday was excruciating... we hit the post 4 times to add to the 2 times against Ipswich and Forestieri got booked again for having his ankles snapped. The most marked man in the league.

Still twists and turns to come.

I agree it's still all to play for, but you wouldn't think so if you looked at this forum.
