' RENEWED FOR '16/17? FREE TICKETS FOR FOUNDATION DAY! '

Monday 18th April 2016

2016/17 Season Ticket Holders can claim two free tickets for Bolton as we celebrate Foundation Day 2016…

Cardiff City’s Foundation Day 2016 will take place this weekend as the Bluebirds go up against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, 23rd April.

The annual event will see the local community come together to help raise funds and celebrate the achievements of the Cardiff City Foundation in a show of support at Cardiff City Stadium.

Cardiff City Foundation is the charitable arm of Cardiff City Football Club. The Foundation plays a central role in improving the lives and opportunities of people in its local communities, providing for previously under-represented groups.

The timing is particularly apt this year, after Cardiff City won the Regional Community Club of the Year award on Sunday, while the Cardiff City Women’s side lifted the FAW Women’s Cup on the same day.

Following the superb atmosphere at CCS against Derby County and QPR, we are delighted to announce that all supporters who have bought Season Tickets for the 2016/17 campaign are entitled to two FREE tickets against Bolton Wanderers, as we pay tribute to the Foundation’s recent successes.

This will also apply to anyone who buys a Season Ticket prior to the fixture, being held at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, 23rd April (kick-off 3pm). Indeed, for those buying their Season Ticket on match-day itself will be pleased to know that 10% of the ticket price will be donated to the Foundation to support their fantastic work for our local community.

Complimentary tickets can be claimed from Tuesday, 19th April at 9am. To secure yours, please contact the Ticket Office on 0845 345 1400 before close of play on Friday, 22nd April at 5:00pm.

Please be ready to state your full name, supporter number and/or 2016/17 Season Ticket reference. You can also claim your tickets online through eticketing, using your unique username and password. Please ensure that you are logged in so that the free ticket option becomes available.

Supporters wishing to purchase 2016/17 Season Tickets have until Monday, 9th May 2016 to sign up for a ONE YEAR PRICE FREEZE – irrespective of the Club’s divisional status at that time.

Lauren Ann McNie,

In all honesty, this is getting on my nerves. It's great to have bigger crowds but billing this as a plus for those who have renewed is laughable. How is giving me two tickets to give away any kind of reward for renewing my season ticket? I haven't claimed my free tickets as I don't know any one who'd have them... I'd rather have the ticket value taken off my ST price, or a free ticket FOR MYSELF if we make the playoffs or pre-season games. I find it highly unfair that up to 20,000 people can get in for free because 10,000 of us paid.

Well done Cardiff City.

Good way of attracting new potential season ticket holders.

I know some season ticket holders for next year don't have any friends and don't want to claim the tickets, however most of us do have friends and applaud the gesture.

Seeing so many youngsters going is great I think the club are doing the right thing giving free tickets and to see the ground almost full again is great. Pity the game was not great on Saturday but QPR were happy with a 0-0 . My grandson went to his first game and he loved it so it starts all over again the future bluebirds :ayatollah:

My god there are some miserable buggers about aren't there. I hate that "what's in it for me" attitude from people nowadays. If things go well tomorrow, the game against Bolton is going to be huge,we need the place packed out and rocking like it was against Derby.

If you’ve renewed your season ticket for the 2016/17 season then you can claim two tickets for this year’s Foundation Day and the Bolton Wanderers home fixture.

Cardiff City Foundation Day 2016 will take place on April 23rd, running alongside the Bluebirds’ home fixture with Bolton Wanderers. In yet another initiative, Cardiff City supporters who have renewed their season ticket for the 2016/17 campaign can claim two free tickets each for the fixture.

Ticketing initiatives have been rolled out for the last two fixtures and the success of both days have been cited as a major factor in offering more free tickets for the Bluebirds’ penultimate home fixture against Bolton.

The Cardiff City Foundation Day has been organized once a year for the last couple of years with major success from each event. There are a number of activities organized in and around the stadium for supporters to take part in as well as having the opportunity to contribute towards the foundation.

In another terrific scheme, 10% of all season tickets purchased on Foundation Day will be donated to the Cardiff City Foundation for its relentless work in the community.

Cardiff City announce two free tickets for Bolton clash for all 2016/17 Season Ticket holders

19 APR 2016

BY PHIL SMITH

The initiative follows two similar and successful schemes for the recent home games

The fans packed out Cardiff City Stadium fo the past two games

Cardiff City have announced that fans who have bought season tickets for the 2016/17 campaign will be able to claim two free tickets for the clash with Bolton on Saturday.

Similar schemes were ran for the games with Derby County and QPR, helping to secure crowds over 27,000 in both fixtures.

The game against the club at the bottom of the Championship table coincides with Cardiff City's foundation day, celebrating the work of the club's charitable arm.

The complimentary tickets will also apply to anyone who purchases a season ticket between now and Saturday.

10% of the price of any Season Tickets bought on Saturday will be donated to the Foundation.

Her twitter feed is worse. 14.5K tweets on absolutely nothing but 'me, me, me', no wonder she doesn't know anyone who wouldn't have free tickets from her. And judging by the size of her arms, she'd only spend her ST discount on more cake.

From Facebook

Joff Lee The club are just trying to attract new customers. Happens in all sales driven business's. Whilst they may gain free entry, extra food And drinks are sold and the club also benefits from increased merchandise sales. Better to have 27,000 than 10/12,000 empty seats. Most Championship clubs have done incentives like this.

Lauren Ann McNie I understand that; it's the fact that it's supposed to be a benefit for those who have renewed that bothers me.

Laura Simmonds Loads I no is renewing next year said they've missed it and great seeing all boys back plus there buying for there kids so good shout by Cardiff got loads enjoying it again

I bet a pound to a penny she is exactly the kind of person who never indicates when shes driving or leaves shit on the floor when shes out shopping for other people to pick up! If its not directly helping her shes not happy and f**k the club and anybody else who could benefit.

I'm not against the free tickets but I am against having young children who have no interest in football playing up through the entire game if they want to go around schools handing out tickets at least put them in the family stand .

If you'd have read the whole debate on facebook you would know that I have no problem with free tickets being given away; my apparent "what's in it for me" attitude comes from the fact that the club promote this as a benefit for people who have already paid. An actual benefit for those who have purchased STs would be a free ticket (for themselves) if we make the playoffs, for example.

Please, don't call my education into question when you can't even use basic grammar; am I an "anti-social, media user" or am I "anti social-media"?

I don't know what Twitter account you found, but I actually have 15.6k tweets and they're mostly about football, boxing and Britain's Got Talent. And yes, cake is one of my favourite things and may contribute to my size, but my arms are probably that big because I work out with 40kg weights.

I've never commented on this message board before, but I was made aware that my Facebook comment had been reposted on here so decided to see just how people had been slating me. I never really get bothered by what others think of me, but this comment really riled me up.
I'm actually the kind of person who gets pretty irate at other drivers who don't indicate; like, is it really that difficult to learn your left from right and then flick a switch?! I also have mild OCD tendencies, so I'm the kind of person who straightens up products on supermarket shelves and re-arranges clothes on hangers so that they're in order of size... it just makes more sense! So, sorry, but you've lost that bet.
If the whole debate had been posted for you to read, then you would know that I have no problem with free tickets being given out! My issue is with the fact that this is being promoted as a benefit for those of us that have already paid.

I find it funny that you're all quick to slag me off and declare me a terrible person when I was not around but as soon as I pop up to defend myself you all go quiet. It's unnecessarily nasty people like those who have commented on this thread that have turned me off this message board. When I first signed up a few years it wasn't so bad, but most of the members on here are so full of hate towards any one they don't agree with... let's not mention the headache-inducing illiteracy (a basic apostrophe wouldnt go amiss now and then!) So, unless any of you have anything else to say, I am done with this forum.
