I haven't renewed my two adult season tickets because I couldn't get through on the last evening of the 2 year offer. They claimed they had 'free lines' but even the day after I couldn't get through till 9.25, even though the phone lines open at 9am.

They offered me the one year deal but they can stuff it.

Can City really afford to lose two long standing season ticket holders (and most away games).

By the time I got through on the next morning they wouldn't even have added up their totals from the night before.

What did they think I was leaving it till the next day for ' to test their flexibility in sales'.

Crap service losing them yet another 2 loyal customers but clearly in my opinion they don't care.

It is disappointing to hear stories like this but I suppose their answer would be that you can buy on-line, including the pay monthly option, 24/7 and it took me 5 minutes max. Unfortunately for many businesses their whole model is based "on-line" as it's cheaper and less labour intensive than face-to-face or telephone.

Why did you leave it so late

I did try to buy online but it wouldn't let me. That was just after 8pm and once I realised that I wasn't going to get through on the phone.

I gave the Ticket Office my genuine reason which was that I was actually on my way to the stadium to buy them when I had a call to return home in an emergency. By the time I'd sorted things out it was gone 7pm so I started trying the phone. The ticket office staff had little sympathy and I even asked them to put my exceptional circumstances to a supervisor but without any joy.

What really put paid to my renewing was when I then asked how long I had to decide if I wanted to take a lesser price freeze and retain my seats (next to mates I've sat with for years). There shit answer of "your seats might already have been sold" (by 9.30 next morning - not much chance of that but their attitude stank).

For me now it's the principle of them being totally inflexible with a loyal customer. If I'd been trying it on weeks after the deadline then fair shout but in reality I was trying to get through 2 minutes after their deadline, working on their opening hours.

Made me laugh this week when I read they'd now sold 10, 000 tickets. No better than last year then, so why throw away committed season ticket holders.

Just go to the ticket office in person. I've always found them to be very helpful.
