VILLA ISSUE RALLYING CRY
17/04/16
Aston Villa chairman Steve Hollis says their relegation from the Premier League is the culmination of an "unacceptably fractured" season both on and off the pitch, but vowed that the search for a new manager is under way.
"We must acknowledge that this weekend's confirmation has been the culmination of an unacceptably fractured season both on and off the pitch," he wrote in an open letter on the club's official website.
"That isn't down to bad luck. To make such a claim would be insulting to each and every one of you. I must add you have all displayed unyielding commitment in adversity.
"While it is of little solace at present, the process of identifying the root causes of our circumstances started long ago and the focus now has to be looking forward and making sure lessons have been learnt.
"The search for a new manager to provide drive, direction and immediate promotion has commenced."

I think the answer is simple. LISTEN TO YOUR SUPPORTERS.
In any other line of business you sell products or create products that your clients want to buy. Randy Lerner just needs to listen to what his clients want and then make the decision as to whether he can supply it or not.
If he can I am sure he can turn the club around. If he cannot then he needs to sell to someone who can.
Clubs like Villa and possibly Newcastle should not be in the Championship but, having photographed them a few times this season, I really do think (after losing a few players as well) villa will be in the bottom half of the Championship next season.
