' LATEST NEWS ON LEX IMMERS SIGNING FOR CARDIFF CITY '
Russell Slade Today on Lex Immers talks
Addressing those reports that Feyenoord and Cardiff officials were meeting in London yesterday over a permanent switch for the Dutchman, Slade says it would be ‘perfect’ if they could get a deal done once they are out of the embargo.
Slade said:
There’s strong dialogue between the relevant parties. Lex has done well here. The way he’s adapted, he wants to remain here and we are looking at that and hoping to make progress. It would be one for the summer, we are confident of doing something. Lex has been terrific. He’s a real professional. He brings immense energy and gets goals. He’s fitted right in. He’s learned and that’s impressed me in training and games. He’s a good fit, to move that forward would be perfect.

I worry that we may face some competition from Premier League clubs - i'm sure he could do a job for some of them.

I also worry that other clubs will now be alerted.

Would like him to be captain if he's signed permanently

This would be a brilliant signing and perm basis

Brilliant news!!
I think the one thing stopping a prem club coming in is his lack of pace.
Our biggest rivals will be top championship sides I'd imagine; or maybe the ones who come down this year.

You just hope he will be as effective if a permanent signing; he is in the shop window now. the comfort zone scenario kicks in once they sign as we have seen often.

His age will put PL sides off. I think he is a perfect fit for us and I think we are a perfect fit for him.

I think his signing was the turning point of the season, whoever found him deserves a big pat on the back.
