Should this board report the bad news from CCFC

Mon Jul 05, 2010 5:16 pm

There are obviously 2 answers to this. Yes or No. No might be a good answer to some and helps keep heads in the sand a la TLG.

In my opinion if someone on this board knows that there are problems at the club (embargos, tax bills etc) then they have a duty to report it. 17000 fans have backed the club with their hard earned cash and they deserve the truth. Carl and Annis are getting pelters from many posters on CCMB for telling the truth. I am fed up with those at the top of the club telling fans lies/withholding info from fans. Since the days of Sam we have been fed bullshit by the board. Who can forget Sam saying debt is good? What about the spin from Ridsdale about positive balance sheets? Now we have Gethin Jenkins spouting crap about paying HMRC etc...

All i want as a fan is the truth. Sometimes the truth hurts. However i'd rather know what is happening than be fed lies from the board.

The vast majority of exclusives from Carl and Annis are spot on. I wish they were wrong as i get a sick feeling in my stomach every time i see a new post by either of them. To slate someone for telling the truth is wrong.

What i want from the club is transparency (who said that?!). Over the next few weeks hopefully TG, VT and Sam can get together with Steve Borley and sort out the mess that we are in. I know many dont want Sam back but if it means a reduction in debt then it can only be a good thing. Remember Sam did create debt but Ridsdale totally screwed the club over.

Keep up the good work Annis and Carl. Hopefully yr next exclusives can be about some decent signings and not tax issues.

Yeah, why not?

a) It has to be dealt with and always comes out at some point anyway, and

b)IT means we get cheered up once in a (long)while when there is good news :ayatollah:

Yes, you're right, we do have a right to know, but if Carl posts his info on here, then he has to be 100% sure its true. Lets face it, the majority of his info has turned out to be Bullshit and scaremongering on a huge scale. I think Carl and other people should keep their bullshit to themselves, unless they're 100% sure its correct. I dont think he is doing TG and the well being of CCFC any favours with the info he receives. What TLG says is 100% correct.

I disagree-the vast majority of Carl's posts have been correct. TLG 100% correct-disagree again-he backed Ridsdale whilst he screwed our club.

Thing is, if you weren't telling us what you knew, then the news comes out, then it also comes out that you knew what was happening - then it just gives people ANOTHER excuse to have a go.

Can't really win.

Yes of course we should be told, if those that run(and I use that term lightly) OUR club told the truth then we woulnt have to rely on leaks.

Sorry Bluebird, I disagree, If you read back at the posts Carl has submitted I think you will find they were not far of the mark, if not spot on (and at least he keeps us informed) to call the posts bullshit and scaremongering is quite frankly ludicrous.

Re: Should this board report the bad news from CCFC

Mon Jul 05, 2010 9:13 pm

I'm expecting an exclusive on this board one day which will go something like this...TG and VT have decided to pull out of their commitment to Cardiff City, the reasons given for this are continuous negative posts and threads on Cardiff City Messageboards, leading to doubts as to whether a section of supporters have any faith in the two Malaysians to take this club forward.
The Malaysian philosophy is one of building trust with people, but some people seem to doubt their commitment and consider them to be withholding the truth and not being honest with supporters.
I fear if this continuous doubting of their commitment continues unabated then it could well end up being " it's goodnight from him and goodnight from me".
Remember who has and still is bailing us out of the shite we've been in for months and months.
If they decide to "get out" then I hope there's a plan B in place or this club's in the shite.

Would it be too much trouble for you to substantiate that claim by showing us exactly how Carl has posted 'bullshit and scaremongering on a huge scale?'

Without such clarification IMO your statement about Carl is bordering on libellous.

Dont see how messages on a message board will scare off the Maylasians, surely Transfer embargos, winding up petitions, unpaid debts amounting to millions etc etc will do more damage or am i wrong again?? :old:

long time since there has been any honesty at this club
but i think that the new regime should be given time to clear the shambolic way the club has been run the last 7 years

perhaps you could give these majority of incorrect postings that Carl has done, I can remember the PR was going one, and evryone was trown by that even the press and some of the directors, but as for most other posts there as been a lot of substance.

Totally agree with You Kav. The Club needs to sort their problems out.

If it wasn't for this message board uncovering what Ridsdale was doing and how he was managing the finances, he might still be here now. So I think it's good that this board posts up info. The supporters can make of it what they will but I feel considering how much money the fans give the club they have a right to know what is going on.

Look, I'm not going to trudge through Carls posts analysing what he said, which imo is, in my words Bullshit, but please pray tell what of his posts have been proved 100% correct? Just because Steve Tucker has come on here and basically printed his info off this forum doesnt prove to me one bit that Carl is right. Look, its pretty obvious to everyone that TG etc have inherrited a mess left behind from the previous Chairman and it will take a long time to get things on an even keel. I have faith in TG and I'm sure everything will be sorted.
If what I said about Carl is libellous, then I'm sure TLG has got grounds for a never ending amount of libel claims from this board, with the abuse he has had. Its a cretinous remark from you and imo the Trust had a lucky escape when you werent voted onto the board. The Trust would have lost nearly all its credibility with you on the board and would have ultimately resulted in a mass of resignations, including my own!

Re: Should this board report the bad news from CCFC

Should this board report bad news from CCFC??

Any true factual information that is relevant to the current situation at CCFC should be passed onto supporters, as long as it's not to the detriment of the club, or could put the spanner in the works of or severely damage any negotiations the club are currently having with HMRC, players, debters, sponsors, the football league etc, in other words..be selective, some news can be damaging if released before the club wishes it to be. If we don't respect the clubs perogative to release information as and when it sees fit it's only gonna make the club even more likely to withhold information from the supporters, plus root out the mole and take appropriate action against him/her.
