New contract for Slade? Not yet!!!

I'll be the first to admit that Slade has, in the end, done a good job. I was very sceptical but hold my hands up and say I was wrong!!
BUT some posts suggesting offering him a contract whatever the outcome are, in my opinion, premature.
If the worst comes to the worst and the playoffs don't happen, GIVE HIM A NEW CONTRACT!
If promotion happens, thank him very much and find someone who will keep the club up in the top flight for more than one season!!
Sounds harsh, but the game is tough at the top and gambling on a good Championship manager is probably foolish.
