' LESS PRESSURE NOW ? '

Tue Apr 12, 2016 8:19 pm

Right you lot know I try and see the positive in most things and I am thinking tonight could it play into City's hands that the expectation is a lot lower now and many City fans believe the play offs are an outside chance at best.

Is there less pressure on the team in the next couple of games and could that be a positive?

Will Sheffield Wednesday and even Derby feel the pressure knowing that if they lose their next game then City could close the gap to two and four points respectively?

With a big crowd against QPR and the expectation not as much maybe, just maybe, it could have reduced the pressure on the squad.

Carl, I agree with that, the pressure is a lot less now,as most believe it's over.

Carl, people think I'm crazy but I think we will be top six. I would also offer Slade a new contract right now. Said this a few weeks ago and stand by it.

Yes there's less pressure from the fans, but I expect Slade will still be putting pressure on the players until it's mathematically impossible.

Crazy to think I was very much against Slade until quite late in the season and now, even if we don't go up, I'm one of his biggest fans

Cardiff City have only 15 points left to play for in this year's battle for Championship promotion.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as we find ourselves already through the first few April scheduled games, it's still all to play for for Cardiff City and this is the run in we face.

Cardiff:
QPR Apr 16 H
Brentford Apr 19 A
Bolton Apr 23 H
Sheffield Wednesday Apr 30 A
Birmingham May 7 H

I think the pressure will be on to win this Saturday Agree with this, we win and Sheffield & Derby lose then only 2 & 4 points difference with 4 games to go it's all back on again

If the pressure is off will they want the win as much

As much as we have turned the corner, our poor winter has left us too much to do and I think we will miss out by a couple of points. We have thrown so many points away this year against shyte sides, Saturday another example where at least a point should have come back with us.

Think our lack of proven striker is the difference and if we can sort this for next year who knows

OK we both suffer with the same mental health issue but I totally agree we will make the play-offs and Slade deserves another go next season whatever the outcome of this one.

Nice to see some optimism. A loss the other day and the towels were in!... Far, far more unlikely things have happened in football and for that matter in the championship!

Wednesday got a tough run in and they know it, theyle do extremely well not to drop points.

Although the expectations of some of the fans may have fallen I doubt it has within the club, pressure will only be off when it's mathematically impossible to make it. It has to be a case of one game at a time, get what we can and hope others help us out.

Pointless offering a contract at this stage even if we were in the playoffs, may aswell wait until the end of the Season(not that I want him for next season mind) so team and Slade can just focus on the season

Be A right shame if it's all over before Derby and sheff weds play each other, aswell as the fact we have Bolton at home and if it went to the last game it would be immense.

If we are considering Derby as still catchable then so are Hull as they are on the same points but it is now unlikely for us to get one of their spots as all they need is 3 wins and they have guaranteed play offs.

so I see only Wednesday as our chance of finishing the season in those lottery spaces.

Who knows we could go on to win all 5 games and finish on 78 points and one of the three teams directly above us could go and lose the lot, it is a strange league after all.

But its not over until its mathematically impossible, lets just keep the faith for now :ayatollah: :bluebird:
