Hi all,
As a frequent poster, I just wanted to share something which is close to my heart in many ways.
Back in January my lifelong friend Leon Spencer took his own life following a period of depression. Cardiff City FC have this morning thanks to Helen Kay, donated a fully signed shirt to go into our auction thats taking place on the day.
On Saturday May 21st 2016 we are holding a very special charity football match at the Cardiff City's House of Sport.
This event is not only to support the family's chosen charity MIND, but to also celebrate the life of our brother, father, son, husband and lifelong friend Leon Spencer.
Cardiff City and the House of Sport will be allowing us to use the pitches & facilities (Leckwith Road) The game kicks off at 2pm and your support on this day would be greatly appreciated, please bring red or blue flags and scarves if you have one, and yes all the family if possible, lets get behind the players!
The Evening then kicks off at 17:30 at the Rafa Club (Riverbank, Ely, Cardiff) The evening will be amazing, with plenty of children's activities which include face painting, charity stalls and plenty of great stands from some very special people.
at 18:30 we will be holding a very special balloon release in memory of Leon along with a Children's Fancy Dress Disco @ 7pm. there are prizes for the best dressed, so come in style.
at 8pm its then time for the charity auction. This will include some fantastic signed football shirts from Cardiff City FC, Liverpool FC & The Welsh Euro16 International Squad, Pair of signed Nike Boots from Welsh International David Cotterill and much much more.
We will also be having a disco to end the day.
All proceeds go towards the family's chosen charity MIND, So please come along and show your support to this amazing occasion.
