Lex Immers continues to prove his worth

Vital Cardiff

10/04/16

There was a certain degree of intrigue when Cardiff City completed the signing of Lex Immers on loan from Dutch side Feyenoord, and he has proved an inspired addition.

Immers has five goals this season since January and Slade will be desperate to sign the Dutchman on a permanent basis in the summer.

However, given their financial issues they could be priced out of a move, but he has shown that he is more than capable of playing at this level and he would be a terrific addition for a side in the Championship.

Landing the permanent signing of Lex Immers must now become an absolute priority ahead of the summer, with an out-and-out No.9 next on the list. Reducing the burden on Anthony Pilkington will greatly help him as he strives to make his striking switch a long-term success.

Let's just hope Slade doesn't "rotate" him in the next game as he's now played three games in eight days in which he has run himself into the ground in each of those games just like O'Keefe did before being "rested".

Also seemed to pick up a niggling injury yesterday just before half time and didn't seem to be moving so freely in the second half.

For us to have any chance of getting to the play-offs, Immers needs to be in the team and on top of his game.

He may have only been here a short while but for me he's a strong candidate for player of the season.

I agree with regards okeefe yet if immers did pick up a niggling injury then it might just be the tough schedule is catching up with players. For me def candidate, ticks every single box and a big reason behind recent upturn. Sign him at all costs. Only 27 and could be great for us.

Don't forget Lex is a Slade signing  as was O'Keefe. So the narrative that Slade signs League 1 standard players is beginning to wane :D

Also Peltier, Malone (good signing considering the price)

When your signing players on the cheap your going to get a few who are not up to it.
