One defeat and the usual culprits are out..

Sat Apr 09, 2016 7:39 pm

Quite sad really, almost waiting for us to fail so they can come on slag everybody off. Such a defeatist negative attitude, yes it looks like we will fall short but it's looked like that for a while. We lost to Fulham who are improving and second highest scorers, we have played Derby burnley away on a Tuesday night, then away again Saturday. No okeefe or Pilks who have both had a major impact.

This side are giving it everything, even now a win at home Saturday and if Ipswich beat Shef weds its in our hands again. Difficult yes, but did you expect bristol to win 4-1 today? Ipswich still have a long shot, a lot can happen in 5 games and while I don't think we will do it, it's fir sure not impossible.

Having said that, some just want us to fail so they can get on here and slate us. Rant over.

Well said mate. Shocking how many have crawled out of the woodwork today! And how many head have dropped!

A vital defeat though unfortunately and a massive wasted opportunity after Sheffield Wednesday's defeat at Bristol City.

Everything looked fine at half time. Leading 1-0, comfortable on the ball, almost scored a second just after the first and closing down well.

Then within a minute of the restart at all falls apart and they level before we even touch the ball! Then it's difficult to believe it's the same team in the second half - what on earth does Slade say at half-time? Are we the only team that play worse after the manager's half time words of "wisdom"?

Slade gambled today with an attacking approach which backfired.

I've personally been very honest about my opinions of Slade's managerial abilities, even during this good run we've been on, so you won't find me feeling guilty for continuing to state the bloody obvious which is that Slade does not possess the skills to get us promoted. I would love him to prove me wrong, and hope he does, but I genuinely feel it's the abilities of our players that have got us this close to the play offs, not Slade's tactics.

Same I've questioned Slade all season haven't got onboard the Slade lovetrain . I just don't think he is good enough tactically we seem to always only play well 1 half then drop off in the 2nd half

Slade is doing a good job with what we got, some seem to think we have a great squad but I don't see it at all we have some really hard workers who have worked for Slade.

We lose 1 game so what that's football but look at Arsenal and Everton doing quite well and some of their supporters want their manager sacked just shows how difficult football is at the moment and how picky supporters are.

I was annoyed we lost yesterday as Shef Wed lost but I thought we would mid table anyway so we are over achieving with the mess that idiot Olle left us and slade is trying to resolve the mess

What?

Arsenal are out of every cup, and threw away what should've been a title win this season. To make things worse, they gifted it to a team who actually got RELEGATED the last time Wenger won the title. Nothing about Arsenal fans turning on Wenger has been fickle.

And Everton are doing awful. Low position in the league, and absolutely shocking home form. A cup semi-final doesn't mean they're doing well...would you say Wigan had a good season the year they won th FA Cup but got relegated 5 days later? Can't blame Everton fans for questioning Martinez given he was Wigan's manager at that time even, and proves as a manager he is incapable of maintaining league form whilst putting together a cup run.

Of all the examples to give of where fans are turning on their managers for no reason...
