I had been a season ticket for 17 seasons but couldn't last season for personal reasons especially after they put my seat price up.
I didn't feel so bad basically as I knew attendances would be well down and ticket deals offers all over. I wasn't wrong, think I've spent £20 this season and been to every game I've wanted to go to and this includes turning down free tickets from friend etc.
Anyway the point is why do you buy a season ticket?
is it financially better?
Is it the continuity?
The good feeling it gives you because it helps the club?
Other?
I think the club have got it spot on this season but question is, are they worth the money?

Must have had a lot of freebies as £20 get you into 2 games at most, or is that amount games you've been to ? As for worth it depends on perspective and how many games you want to see! Full season yes its worth it otherwise no:

Works out at £15 per game which is great value. I always renew partly based on the reasons given by the OP and I prefer stumping up in a lump sum and not having to find the cash game by game.

It was worth it then the club started giving freebies out here, there and everywhere and I am not so sure now.

I think next season will be worth it. £99 you can't go wrong. £230 on the other hand, despite the change in the club and the good home form. It's a bit annoying seeing so many freebies handed out. If you are a uni student you'd have been able to go to all the games and still not as cost as much as a ST
