Cardiff City defender Bruno Ecuele Manga is apparently on the radar of Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe.

The Cherries boss has taken notice after the combative 27-year-old put in some impressive displays for the Bluebirds during their push for the play-offs in the Championship. Bournemouth have also been joined by promotion-chasing Brighton in looking at the Gabon international, who cost Cardiff £5m when he joined from Lorient in 2014 and has made 41 international appearances.

Cardiff do not want to sell Manga but the prospect of Premier League football with the Cherries would be very difficult for the defender to refuse.

Much may depend on Cardiff's own push for promotion with the Welsh outfit currently five points behind Derby, who occupy the last play-off space.

Agree he is extremely important to us but its not like we suffered without him in the early season, we coped and im sure we would get a decent replacement in.

I would expect them to pay big for him aswell, I think a nice little 11 mill will do

If we go up, then counter that with going after Howe and his team.

We would play far better football under him and he would come as we are close to his roots and a far far bigger club than Bournenouth

I read a similar story yesterday from a different source.
It states those clubs are 'keeping tabs' on him. Not quite the same as they 'want him'! I'm sure there's more than those two clubs that are watching him though.
