Zohore to Start

Wed Apr 06, 2016 2:10 pm

Surely now pilkington is injured.. we been crying out for a natural centre forward and every time ive seen zohore play hes looked good.

Again last night the same as against leeds at home zohore came on and done more for our attack and we looked more of a threat in scoring and so did he look more a threat in scoring than pilkington did all game.

Give him 90 minutes next, we cant be fannyin about now with steady eddy slade tactics we need to play a proper striker and really go for it and win every single remaining game.

Who agrees/disagrees?

Agree with the post and best of luck to Zahore if/when he gets the chance :ayatollah:

Would stick with pilks as it's working but you have a case, heard he played well but should have scored

Yes it would be logical to start him Pilks is starting to become useless upfront tbh.

Not sure if useless is a fair description, but he has gone off the burner a little in terms of banging them in. Maybe other teams just know what to expect now and are treating him like a threat, but he's not quite there yet.

Still starts for me.

Well hes not scoring so give him a rest and let Zohore start.

Pilks offers so much more than goals, his work rate is fantastic, defending from the front is a massive reason for Cardiff's recent improvement. Not sure Zahore can put that sort of shift in as he's a big unit. Great to have him come on as a twenty minute impact player especially if we're chasing a goal.

Pilkington works hard yes thats about it for me, hes like le fondre works hard but cant score in a brothel well pilks cant score in a brothel at the moment either.

I might be wrong but aint your striker in the team to score goals aswell? The reason we are a different team now is not down to pilkington, its down to the energy and midfield pairing of okeefe and ralls and lawrence has impressed too also immers has transformed this team too, we are a different team now and create much more chances because of them players we just need a threat upfront now pilkington isnt that man imo so give zohore a run in the side because he has looked a threat everytime hes come on

Agreed !

I'm not convinced that Zahore is ready to start. His touch is poor but he certainly looks to be a goal threat.

Pilkington's movement is creating space for our midfielders and offering pace on the break.

I'd rather see Zahore get 30 mins at the end of a game to make a better judgment.

Now is not the time to experiment but if Pilks is injured then we may be forced into it.

Spot on. The fans wanting Zohore to start will be wanting him dropped when he fails to make as much of an impact. Zohore is a good impact sub, but there's still lots of rough edges to his game which needs to be smoothed for him to be consistently relied upon to start games. I see Zohore as more of a long term project, similar to Rudy Gestede.

I agree with your point about gestede. Similarities between the pair of them but so far i think zohore looks a better player than when gestede first come here, better technically and hes got pace something gestede dosent have, if gestede can score lots of goals in the championship i believe zohore could too

Got to laugh, Pilks has a few games no goals and he's a " le fondre " he offers more than goals and has been fantastic for us up front, won penalties created space and chased everything. Not a striker but doing a great job and should continue.

Pilks brings everyone into play, that's why he is so successful. It's a team effort.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Immers uptop sat.
