' ANTHONY PILKINGTON INJURY UPDATE... '

Following a scan on Wednesday morning, Cardiff City’s Medical Staff have confirmed that Anthony Pilkington has suffered no serious injury.

The attacker was withdrawn from the action mid-way through the second half of City's clash with Burnley on Tuesday evening.

Anthony will resume training with the first-team squad in due course, once suitably rested so as to alleviate symptoms.

Anthony Pilkington has avoided serious injury after scan results revealed there is “no serious damage” in the strikers knee.


Cardiff striker Anthony Pilkington has avoided serious injury with scan results revealing the striker won’t miss a large number of the Bluebirds’ remaining fixtures as feared. The former Norwich forward left Turf Moor wearing a leg brace due to swelling but the club have now confirmed he will return to training after sufficient rest.

Give him a rest it's obv playing up lately. Maybe give Zahore a run!

Hope he's fit soon. I still think he's a natural number ten, playing a free role behind a more traditional striker such as Zohore. The role Immers is performing so well, in fact.
