Heidar Helguson

That's what we are missing, go along with me here, I am not talking about the style of footballer, more about the impact he made.

We needed a striker to come in, do the business not in the future but right now. That striker we needed didn't need to be for the long term, Helguson retired after the promotion. We are missing goals in this side which is a shame as defensively the players are performing very well indeed. Midfield is strong too.

I'm sorry, but I can't help feeling that if the club wandered away from signing the 'next Michu,' the infatuation with foreign recruits upfront in turning them from unknowns to superstars would not be so high on the agenda.

The only agenda should be promotion like the last time and it's going to be a bit sad if policies/strategies got in the way of it. Actually, I'm not against scouting Europe for unknowns to turn them into profitable assets, where the problem lies is that the club has no record of success doing it.

The odds on trainers who have a poor % in novice hurdle horse races are long, so should it be for our current administration finding 'the next Michu,' or any player increasing their value tenfold. it's pipe-dreams I'm afraid that hinders promotion from this league.
