Cardiff City-owned striker Federico Macheda has told Gianlucadimarzio.com that he is enjoying life at Nottingham Forest, even though many Forest fans are so far not happy with him.

The 24-year-old former Manchester United striker joined Forest on loan from Championship rivals Cardiff last month.

The former Italy Under-21 international has made it clear that he is happy at the Reds, and is determined to enjoy a fruitful end to the season.

"Now I'm at Nottingham Forest and I'm comfortable, I arrived two weeks ago and I'm playing regularly,” Macheda told Gianlucadimarzio.com.

“I feel great and I hope to do extremely well in these last eight (now seven) matches in the league.”

Macheda seems to be happy at the City Ground, but the truth is that he is not playing well at the moment.

In three Championship appearances for Forest, the Italian striker has not scored a single goal, has created only two chances, and has a pass accuracy of 75.7% and a shot accuracy of 33.3%.

Forest are 16th in the league table at the moment with 46 points from 39 matches, just nine points above the relegation zone.

The Reds will return to action this evening when they take on Reading away from home at the Madejski Stadium in the Championship.

Just a couple of dozens of comments on Macheda

Macheda is absolutely garbage. He is so unfit a Brentford player crawling on hands & knees was quicker than him to put in a tackle #NFFC

Truly awful performance by Forest! Macheda might be the worst player I've ever seen wear a Forest shirt. #nffc #fawaz
