Burnley are waiting to hear from the FA regarding Joey Barton’s antics last time out but Scott Arfield is battling for a return after picking up a back injury while on international duty with Canada. Dean Marney is also on his way back from injury as well as Ashley Barnes who has been out since May but both have little match fitness and are unlikely to be involved.
Cardiff City
Matthew Connolly is battling for a return but is likely to miss out, the former QPR centre-back missed his first game of the season in Cardiff’s last outing. Ben Turner is the only other concern and he remains out until late April with a long-term knee injury
