Cardiff travel to table-toppers Burnley full of confidence after beating play-off rivals Derby Count at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday. Burnley are three points clear at the top and Sean Dyche’s men are in fine form having not lost in the league since boxing day.

Russell Slade’s men have little time to celebrate a crucial win against Derby County as they head to Turf Moor to face a Burnley side who haven’t been beaten since boxing day and haven’t lost at home since the opening game of December.

The Bluebirds make the trip with the wind in their sails but it’s set to be the toughest trip of the season with Cardiff already losing to Middlesbrough and Hull City on the road, both on Tuesday nights. Cardiff have only one point on the road from Tuesday night fixtures but that will have to improve on this occasion.

Cardiff have won less away games than all six of the teams above them as well as the three teams below them , the Bluebirds have just five away wins to date.

Burnley come into this one having drawn their last two games with their grip of the top spot loosening slightly, Middlesbrough lurk three points behind with a game in-hand. Despite the tightness at the top, Sean Dyche’s men seem confident of securing an instant return to the top flight.
