" O'KEEFE: THIS SIDE FEARS NOBODY "

Sun 03 Apr 2016

Stuart O’Keefe doubled his tally for the season with the winning goal over Derby County at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The midfielder was voted 'Fans Man of the Match' in a win that handed the Bluebirds' Sky Bet Championship promotion hopes a massive boost.

Shortly after the final whistle, Stuart offered his thoughts to the assembled press and media.

“I was definitely in the right place at the right time for my goal” began Stuart. “It was a great ball in by Whitts, it bounced off Sean Morrison and then fell perfectly for me to swivel and toe poke it home.

“It really was a fantastic result for us. We’ve got a good group of lads here, we work hard every day and the additions to the squad such as Lex Immers and Tom Lawrence have really kicked us on.

“We’ve got real belief now, especially at home, that we can beat anyone in the league and force our way into the top six. We’ve had some very good results at home and it’s a place where teams know they are in for a tough game.

“We showed that again today; Derby are a good team and have some quality players, but we were still able to grind out a result.

“To get the win is brilliant for us and it’s a massive statement to the rest of the league. The fans were special today and to get the three points in front of a record crowd here is really great. Hopefully we can kick on now and take it into Tuesday’s game with Burnley.

“We’re starting to hit a good run of form so there’s no reason why we can’t sneak in to the play-offs. It would be a fantastic achievement for Cardiff City - for this group of lads to win promotion. There’s no reason why we can’t go all the way. It would definitely be something special."

Hope he's ready to be kicked, stamped on, head butted, elbowed etc by Barton. Maybe he should borrow some American football gear.

I said some shit about him earlier in the season but I've been proven completely wrong and I love it!

He's fought his way into one of my favourite players and it's great to see! :ayatollah:

He'd been here a year without getting near the first team to be fair, and his record previously isn't fantastic.

But none of that matters now :ayatollah:
