I have no problems with the club continuing with the free/discount tickets.
Rather see the stadium full than empty

Agree fully on this, fella
Let's create an atmosphere for the remaining games and give our friends and relatives the chance to fall back in love with the new Cardiff City experience!

And me.
Maybe new season ticket holders for next year who buy by next Sat get 2 free vouchers for a game of their choice this season and existing ones get 2 vouchers as well ?

I think that the club should put together a heavily discounted package for the remaining 3 home games rather than give free tickets, something like 3 for the price of 2 or even 1 adult ticket 2 child tickets free.
Sun Apr 03, 2016 7:39 am
I think they should be reduced to £10 or more free tickets.
Fans find it expensive to fork out twenty to thirty quid a ticket with added expenses on top.

Someone phoned the radio wales phone in yesterday to complain about it!

f**k it, not buying a season ticket next summer i'll just pick up the freebies given out every week.

I add my support to the OP's opinion. We only have 3 home games left so don't change a winning formula give more free tickets away. If we make the play-offs there will be a 30,000 full paying crowd for the home leg and club will make money on that.
I'm a season ticket holder and the cost per home game is around £15 which in my opinion is great value which will be even better next season.
Therefore I have no problem with giving away free tickets as it helps the club by creating a brilliant atmosphere.

Well yes I'm all for getting the ground full but when I and many others scrape to get money together for a season ticket, and if the club continued giving discounts it's a bit of smack in the face for fans who stuck with the club all season and would then end up paying more for tickets than needed to

People really need to get a grip ...these weren't free tickets ,they where a reward for renewing or purchasing a season ticket for next season. So if the moaners renewed also they got so called freebies also to pass on to family or friends s if they got them or ex -season ticket holders /fans who ...could well come back to the Cardiff city family ...well done Mr Choo shrewd move.

15 pound for me and 12 year old every other sat would suit my finances.

I agree with that it was a good move by the club which I applaud (as if half of those who came for free to the next game it would boost attendances) I was just making a point if the club continued giving free tickets for the remainder of the season I think it's a it of slap in the face to those who stuck by the club for the whole season would end up being out of pocket as there has beeen a lot of promotions (with tickets this year at £10) , so my point is been a season ticket holder this season wouldn't of been worth while it would of been better knowing a season ticket holder instead and you would get better value for the whole season than being a season ticket holder
Sun Apr 03, 2016 4:40 pm
Correct these weren't free tickets to random people
They were a gift from the club to loyal fans to bring some friends and family

But of course if there were freebies week in week out the loyal fans would be screwed over so it was a great move by the club to reward loyal fans but also get people in well done choo

Fairest way is to discount tickets to no less than season ticket holders pay, so if it works out £15 per game, then reduce the ticket price to match for whatever stand you want.
That way there are extra fans and season ticket holders are not finacially disadvantaged...

I think the club missed a trick, by not hitting those that attended with a further offer. A flyer left on every seat would have been the way to go, offering discounts for the remaining games, as long as its promoted as getting as many supporters in the ground for the final push, then I think that most ST holders would support the discount.
Something really radical would be letting supporters in for free, then asking those fans to make a donation if they had enjoyed the experience! I wonder how many out of yesterdays crowd would have made a donation having been entertained??

Missing the important fact that as a season ticket holder you were the one who benefited by passing on to friends relatives, Joe public didn't get freebies ST holders did.

Missing my point further down the thread(or up now) , if the club gave tickets for the remainder of the season for free then I would of been better off just getting tickets off of a season ticket holder than getting season ticket myself this is due to the fact there has been alot of £10 tickets (from season ticket holders ) on offer this season plus if the club did this then that would be 4 games that were free for season ticket holder guests . The whole point of being a season ticket holder is that it works out better value for money buying tickets in bulk than it would sporadically through the season which if the club did the above then it wouldn't be.
