What a miserable attitude.

Gave 16 out in work, most going to people who can't afford to go every week

The plastic army are out in force, will be a horrible day but they won't come back again so us hardcores will just have to endure it.

With that attitude you will drive fans away from the club!

The more the merrier. Get over it. Well done to the club for encouraging new fans. :bluescarf:

I've given 16 away as a gift to the local lesbian ladies football team. As a thank you gift they are allowing me to bum the 10 best looking ones.

It's the people who are calling other people "plastics" they are now the single biggest problem at our football club. Disgusting attitude.

Was waiting for this post!!! Glad to see the floaters today, I haven't got a gripe with them like others. It's their choice we are all different. Great to see a crowd. What a negative post.

Well said I couldn't agree with you more! People using this name calling plastic word aren't doing our club any favours at all! Encourage people to come down not drive them away!

2 guys sitting near me today who I've never seen there before started slagging off the fans leaving early and shouting see you in the premier league. Tickled me anyway.

Great day, buzz about the place today.

Surrounded by the 'plastics' but couldn't give two fucks.

There are many types of fan from Iron through to plastic. Who the f**k am I to judge.

Fullish house and a great atmosphere. That's what I want. I I didn't care if the guy next to me payed f**k all for the privilege

I'm not going to drool over it.

The loyal are the club but it was great to see the new and the sceptics in the ground today.

Like the earlier poster
I had to giggle at the chants coming out of some of them. Skins like rhinos!

My mate took a kid for his first eve game today ad the kid is hooked!

Well done city

Everyone's got to start somewhere. From little acorns & all that.

I'd rather have them there, in the ground, than pricks like you - who's probably never been & (quite likely with that attitude ) not a real City fan anyway.

I'm not quite sure what this plastic shit is I know plenty of people including myself that have supported city for years but can't always get to every game cause of work, fanicial problems, family commitments etc, it doesn't make them a lesser suppporter or the regular Ticket holder superior. We all want the same thing for city to do well. Today was about encouraging new fans and old ones to come back. If your taking about a person who just turns up for a big game like Liverpool etc and has no interest in Cardiff then fair enough. Things are looking positive for city as a club so let's keep it like that.

Spot on Eddie, there were literally hundreds of excited kids going to the game on the 2 trains from Treherbert around the 12 0'clock mark, what a bizarre post by grange end 1927.

Why are they 'plastics?'

From what I remember it was a term to describe fans of Man United who lived hundreds of miles from OT and only watched them on Sky.

Nearly all of those who attended (Derby fans aside) would have come from the Cardiff and surrounding area as that's where the vast majority of free tickets were given out.

TBH I was surprised at how many actually turned up and I can't praise the club enough for this fantastic idea. As a season ticket holder I implore them to do the same for the final 3 home fixtures and get as many City fans as possible into CCS to get us across the line.

As a season ticket holder I would implore the club to refund me the price of three games if they were to give freebies out for the next three games. One offs are good, all the time would piss me and other ST holders off.

That's brilliant news, it's what football should be about - Young and old having fun and pulling together.

My Twitter feed this morning is full of pics of happy mums and dads with their kids.

Thank you to all the club who have made Cardiff City something to be even more proud of.

Let's build on this with positivity, not be jealous or negative.

Most posters on here will be heavily invested emotionally in this club, we can't expect everyone to be the same, however if we can gradually increase interest, then no matter how it is done, it's got to be a good thing for the well being of Cardiff City FC, which surely is what really matters.

We all want to see the stadium full with committed and passionate fans. But that kind of attitude by the OP doesn't help our club at all.

I don't believe that that there were 18000 plastics there. Some yes but the majority have not been attending for legitimate reasons... Financial or rebrand related.

It gave the club a chance to woo some fans back and while the hardcore may feel aggrieved because they've stuck by the club...
That's life and it should be embraced not fought against.

If the so called plastics come back a few times before the end of the season and buy a season ticket next year then that's a positive thing... Then maybe their kids will become life long fans.

Think we need to be a little more gracious with the so called plastics.

In my defence my lud I clicked before I saw the author being taken in and angered by the the heading of the topic. In my view these posters do more damage than good and this particular multi wouldn't be caught dead posting this shit under his real name.

The Grange account is ran by the mods, just take a look at a few of his posts in the Matchday thread vs Huddersfield. Lets just say it's very similar to how another poster posts in match day threads. :old:
