If media reports are anything to go by, Bloemfontein Celtic have signed Cardiff City midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi on a three-year deal.

Local media has it that the former Bafana Bafana and Lamontville Golden Arrows man has joined Siwelele on a pre-contract which will take effect at the end of the current 2015/16 Premier Soccer League campaign.

According to Kick-Off.com, the Kimberley-born player was in the country recently during the FIFA international break and has signed a deal with the Mangaung-based outfit.

“I’m very happy to be coming back home next season. It was a great experience at Cardiff but thing haven’t been working out and I’m excited for the challenge of helping Celtic get back to where they should be,” said Digkacoi.

Meanwhile, the club's chairman, Max Tshabalala has also confirmed the news saying they are delighted to have snapped up the box to box man.

“We are delighted to sign KG. This is a big deal for Celtic and we are confident he can help put us back into the top eight and beyond next season,” Tshabalala is quoted by KO.com.

“This is the sort of signing that can restore the supporters’ faith in management, and we are confident of returning the club to success on the pitch.”

Dikgacoi on the move (slowly) :laughing6:

What on earth happened to him, seems that he has lost interest in the game imo

Water carrier DMC players have to be in 100% physical condition otherwise there worth to the team is zero

Still questions over this one. There are quotes from KG, the B Celtic chairman and this picture. Time will tell though.

Prob be a decent player if he wasn't fat. Terrible attitude for a professional to get so out of shape.

The day we signed him, my mate who is a palace season ticket holder said that he was overrated for them and was overweight and never looked fit :laughing6:

So don't worry, it's not us that has turned him obese  :sladein:

Second only to Cornelius in the waste of money stakes over the past few seasons.

Massive (in all meanings of the word) disappointment.

When Parkin left, Greggs were worried about their profit margins but they heaved a sigh of relief when Dikgacoi signed.

Now he looks like he's going they have issued a profits warning straight away.

They are however hopeful that Idriss Saadi will step up to the plate (or should that be the counter) and become the latest "always injured waste of money" that usually ends up eating for comfort!

I thought he started playing well for this this year and didn't we get him for free ?

I think he was free but the reason he signed for us rather than the new contract he was offered at Palace was that we were offering more wages than they were - and they were a Premier League team whilst we had just been relegated!
