Is this why they're called Dirty Leeds?

Leeds United striker Souleymane Doukara has been banned eight matches by the Football Association for biting an opponent earlier this season.

The incident took place in the 1-1 draw with Fulham on 23 February. Fulham defender Fernando Amorebieta was the victim, the Venzuelan booked for his reaction to the incident and later sent off himself for a second yellow card.

The suspension will start with immediate effect after Doukara, 24, was found to have committed an act of violent conduct.

"The breach of FA Rule E3, which the player denied at an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing on Wednesday [30 March 2016], was considered a non-standard case given the seriousness and both unusual and violent nature of the misconduct," read a statement on the FA website.

"Mr Doukara was also warned as to his future conduct and fined £5,000."
