Many lately have asked on here, just a reminder

' Kevin McNaughton '

Cardiff City FC is delighted to confirm that following discussions with Kevin McNaughton, a benefit game in his honour will take place in the summer of 2016.

Whilst in the early stages of this planning process, a finalised date – and indeed opponent – will be confirmed in due course, in conjunction with Kevin’s benefit game committee.

:ayatollah: The Kevin McNaughton interview: "Cardiff City is my home... I will never forget the fans who took me to their hearts" :ayatollah:

Kevin McNaughton made his Cardiff City debut against Barnsley in August, 2006. He went on to make forty-four appearances during that first campaign and a total of two hundred and ninety appearances prior to leaving the Club in the summer of 2015.

‘Super Kev’ – as he will always be referred to as by Bluebirds fans, played in the 2008 F.A. Cup semi-final against Barnsley, the F.A. Cup Final against Portsmouth, the 2010 Play-Off Final against Blackpool and the 2012 League Cup Final against Liverpool. He was also an integral part of the 2012/13 side that won promotion to the Barclays Premier League, and played seven times for the Bluebirds on the biggest stage during 2013/14.

Speaking at the Severnside derby, Kevin - who joined Bluebirds supporters in the Canton End - said: "It's fantastic to be back here - I've missed this lot!

"I've got so many happy memories from my time at Cardiff City - too many to mention. To be out there at half time tonight was brilliant and I can't wait for the game next summer."

Cardiff City CEO, Ken Choo, added: “I’m thrilled that we’re now in a position to confirm the game for Kevin.

“We’ll spend some time working with Kevin’s committee now to source the best opposition and optimum time to play the game. However, Bluebirds supporters can now look forward to honouring one of our Club’s most loyal servants next summer in the most fitting of ways.

“Seeing Kevin here this evening was fantastic and the reception he received indicated just why having a game in his honour is so fitting and important.”

Realy? Loved KM as a player and will prob go if the price is right and its not during Euro's but my guess would be 10,000 tops.

I remember City playing Villa in Carl Dales tesitmonial in front of about 3,000.

If they get it right and a few well liked players backed will be a good afternoon/night though and well deserved.
