One of my all time favourite ccfc strikers along with Hemmerman, Dale, Gilligan and Bartlett.

I thought I was the only fan of Bartlett. Fast as f**k. Tried really hard. Just a shame about some of his finishing.

Stantona was an absolute legend.

I was surprised when I was told about it as well.

It was at a player reunion event that the Trust organised when the squad that Stant played in were invited. He was one of only a few that didn`t come to the event. Virtually all the players that were there were quick to offer the view that Stant was disliked by all the others. There were suggestions of him being big headed , a poor mixer and more than a bit shall we say "economical with the truth" about his army career and his actual role in the Falklands conflict compared to what he claimed it was. To be fair , he wasn`t there to give his own alternative view of things , but it was interesting that no-one spoke up on his behalf.
