Jack Payne

Just watched this lad play for southend... scored a great goal to top off a class display.

An attacking midfielder type playmaker looks a real talent, also out of contract at the end of the season and would be an absoloute steal, looks a future star...

Anyone else seen him play?

Slade might be interested in a player like that, the transfer committee not so as he is not foreign. No stone is being left unturned in finding the 'next Michu.'

Maybe with Vardy's success Tan might change tac, who knows

A fair amount of our signings have not been foreign

Looked a decent player, what I saw of him. But to expect Slade to see anything in young up and coming players is too much to hope for. He prefers the tried and trusted types of Revell and Doyle.

Michu? Who's looking for a one season wonder?

I think we need to concentrate more on bringing some youngsters through tbh.

upfront, we are looking for the next Michu with Zahore & Saadi the first attempts. Tan said in 2013,

“I do like the Swansea model – they have shown the way. I would like to buy a Michu, who for just £2 million has performed better than Fernando Torres has for £50 million.

“Like Michu, who cost £2 million and is worth £20 million. But if he has only one year left on his contract, you have to sell him.”

Vincent Tan is, but agreeably to your post, he might change his mind with the success of Vardy + our Michu prototypes have not scored a goal for the club yet
