Everton sound £50m warning to Chelsea and Man Utd over striker plans

EVERTON have reportedly warned Premier League suitors they will have to pay upwards of £50million before they even consider negotiating a transfer for Romelu Lukaku.

The 22-year-old, who was sold to the Toffees by Chelsea in the summer of 2014, is believed to be wanted by as many as five clubs.

Lukaku's devastating displays have made him one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe, with Chelsea and Manchester United both keen to bolster their flagging attacks.

25 goals this season has been a point in proof.

But according to the Daily Mirror, Everton will play hardball over Lukaku.

The report suggests only bids north of £50m will be considered.

However, it is thought they will fight hard to keep hold of him with chairman Bill Kenwright unwilling to let Lukaku leave.

Lukaku recently admitted he would be happy to work with Jose Mourinho again, despite his Stamford Bridge nightmare.
