Everton manager Roberto Martinez is planning to offer Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick a contract this summer, reports the Daily Mirror.

Carrick will be a free agent when his United contract expires at the end of June unless the club offers him an extension, but there is “growing confidence” at Goodison Park that an agreement with the midfielder can be reached.
